Contemporary Jewellery Theory and Design Project

2nd Year end year Project- Contemporary Jewellers (Part 1)

You have by now chosen your 3 contemporary jewellers. We have discussed how two of these jewellers need to be from Love Dazzle ( these two jewellers will be more "commercial contemporary jewellers" ) and your other jeweller can be from The Carrot Box.

The 3 jewellers you have chosen must be able to be "classified" into one group, for example, if you have chosen jewellers that  use glass in their jewellery in different ways this could fit into "Mixed Materials"- remember the jewellery we discussed from Virtual Gallery.

You have created your own personal blog and will be doing blog posts on the jewellers you have chosen and you will be blogging about your design process. Here are the basics of what you need to have on your blog, nut you may go above and beyond  this!

You need to do 3 Blog posts on your 3 jewellers by Thursday 15 October before you meet Sam for your Design work. Make sure your blog posts have clear photo's that are referenced by using a link to the website where you found the image and put the link in the caption of the image you are using on your blog. Remember this is someone else's work so you need to show  where you found it! In these posts you need to talk about the jeweller's work, and use the writing centre to help you with this. You can write about what appeals to you in the work, which category it could go into, what materials and techniques they use and a lot more that is relevant to the jeweller you have chosen.
